Simply, it's a Do-it-yourself PHP web application for businesses and savvy individuals to get large files from their office to the end user and back.

Why is Rhino different to other online services which are free or subscription?

The application isn't designed for all round use. It's targeted at businesses with many users. Online applications have the major benefit of not requiring anything to be set up. This is good for most companies but misses out on many benefits. In most cases an I.T person would be required to set up the Rhinofile software. All the end users see is online software, their experience is no different to other online services.

We're still finishing the software. We are actually going to consult with people during the trial for their feedback. One of the reasons for the abundant success of web 2.0 is that companies have less exposure to sneaky companies putting people through the software upgrade treadmill. We don't want that!
